High school football notches massive win at Homecoming

Football shot

The high school football team was in action on Friday night, and was looking to snap a two game losing streak. It was Homecoming, there was a huge crowd, a great deal of energy, and high expectations.

The team did not disappoint, with Ansel Arash-Ajayi catching a short pass from Preston Pounds and taking it all the way to the end zone on the game's second play. After a Logos fumble, a trick play had Marshall Ingram throwing a touchdown pass to Arash-Ajayi, and the cougars never looked back.

Touchdowns by Jarrett Philips, Caleb Anderson, Dallin Jensen, Alex Ludlow and Brady Kraner helped the Cougars put 59 points on the board. Justin Gilliland had 13 tackles, Caleb Anderson had 10, and Dallin Jensen and Joseph Mosbey each had 9.

The win puts the Cougars squarely in the playoff conversation, and they look to continue to build momentum at Lutheran North on Friday, October 20.
