Landon Frank's Eagle Scout project

Northland junior Landon Frank is completing his BSA Eagle Scout project - Lenses for Lions. Landon recently completed a neighborhood collection of used eyeglasses for the benefit of the Cy-Fair Lions Club. The Lions Club will take this donated eyewear and rehabilitate the frames and lenses before distributing them to individuals in need both domestically and abroad. Landon was able to collect over 400 pair of used eyeglasses during his neighborhood collection. He was joined by classmates and fellow Boy Scouts Ian Wietstruck (8th grade - Troop 440) and Alex Ludlow (12th grade - Troop 84) who helped distribute flyers and pick up donated eyewear. Special thanks to these scouts, and to Mr. Wietstruck for his participation.

Landon will continue to collect used eyewear until the end of October. If any families have eyeglasses (prescription, readers, sunglasses, loose lenses, frames) that they would like to donate, you may send them with your student to either campus. The reception desks will have a collection point for these glasses. You may also contact Landon directly to arrange pickup at Landon_Frank@northlandchristian.org.

Thank you, Northland Christian family, for your support of this "extraordinary" Eagle project.
