Northland Christian Debate Team students compete for the National Championship!

Margaret Purcell and Kaitlyn England are members of the East Texas District Team with three other students from Kingwood High School, Colette Faulkner (member of Team USA with Sarah Lanier), Emily Grantham and Leila Saklou. The competition being held in Birmingham, Alabama, started on Monday with 173 teams from the United States and even a few international teams; the team cleared to the top 32 and are now down to the top two!

The team will compete in the championship round on Thursday, June 22 at 1:00pm. Best wishes, Cougars!

Northland will send an eblast containing a link to the awards ceremony that will be streamed live Friday, June 23 at 6:30pm.

Other fantastic results from Nationals include Sarah Lanier finishing in the top 30 for International Extemp and Alexa Anastos being a semi-finalist in Congressional Debate. We are so proud of all of these students for representing our school!
