At Northland Christian, we recognize the importance of serving God in all areas of life; that is why we strive to address and encompass every aspect of Christian living in our Spiritual Life Programs.
Spiritual Life at Northland Christian consists of:
Weekly Chapel Programs
We meet for chapel every Wednesday and bring in local pastors, teachers, musicians, or artists to address Biblical content in a way that challenges and speaks to students. Students have the opportunity to be involved in the Student Praise Team and other aspects of chapel programming throughout the year.
Spiritual Life Groups
Spiritual Life Groups are a time set aside once per month to deal with the content of chapels and to allow students a time and place to interact with and apply the lessons that have been brought during the previous weeks’ chapels. Each student is paired with a mentor teacher and will spend this time engaged in dialogue, personal learning, and prayer.
Service Projects
In addition to the student’s individual community service, there are several school-wide service opportunities that students may choose to participate in. For more information on upcoming service projects, see the “Student Council” section of the web page.
Spiritual Renewal Day
Every Spring, Northland devotes an entire day to spiritual renewal. Several guest speakers are brought in to work with and challenge students towards a growing faith that produces a legacy in others.
Bible Classes
In addition to the areas mentioned above, all students at Northland are enrolled in Bible courses each year that they attend. The curriculum ranges from topical studies to in-depth content studies of the Scriptures.
Weekly Prayer
All students are invited to a time of weekly prayer that meets at 7:00 a.m. in the outdoor classroom.
