Taylor Huff, Northland class of 2014, has been cast as the lead female role in Abilene Christian University’s 2016 Homecoming musical, The Man of La Mancha. Her character, Aldonza, is Don Quixote’s Dulcinea.
While at Northland, the Fine Arts department helped Taylor to develop her love for theater. As a middle school student, she was in the cast of The Wizard of Oz. During high school, she was in Godspell, Little Shop of Horrors, played the lead in The Cat in the Hat, and was Jo in Little Women.
Between the vocal demands and the complexities of the character, Aldonza is a challenging role to play. Taylor credits her experience, guidance, and mentoring at Northland as fundamental in instilling a love for the arts and providing her with the skills and technique that have proved valuable, preparing her for this coveted role.
Taylor is a junior Musical Theatre major at Abilene Christian University.
Taylor is the daughter of Dennis and Julie Huff (current Northland teacher), and the granddaughter of Richard and Sally Miller (former Northland teacher).
